Revenue Analyst

Job Description

Purpose: The Revenue Analyst role is a strategic analytical position that oversees revenue management analytic functions. Analysts produce reporting that supports and evaluates hotel business strategies to maximize overall hotel revenues, works closely with the Revenue Director to analyze data to yield best strategies to optimize the package and non-package revenue. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Prepares weekly strategy reporting. • Gathers information from STR, EzRMS, PowerBi, TCA, Hyperion as needed. • Ensures data organization in our systems. • Review the pick-up patterns, lead times, pacing, and business trends to share intelligence with the team. • Review daily occupancy reports, new bookings received and market penetration. • Conducts proper competitive analysis using Rate Gain or any other benchmark. • Evaluate group requests, measure group segment KPI’s for strategic decisions. • Analyze hotel buyouts for revision. • Generates reporting that includes critical KPI’s, identifies hotel’s & Market patterns. • Provide support with analytics reports on initiatives proposed by Sales and Marketing. • Completes Yield Analysis reports i.e., Holiday season. • Consolidate and effectively present information for use by senior Leadership. • Assist with training of new associates as necessary on Revenue Management Tools. • Assist with system auditing including but not limited to EzRMS, Rate Gain, Power BI, etc. • Develops and maintains a high level of communication with all departments, provides feedback as necessary. • Supports the forecast and Budgeting processes. • Any other task that supports the Revenue Management function. QUALIFICATIONS Education: • Bachelor’s degree required. Language: • Strong command of English and Spanish (optional). Characteristics: • Required Education BS Finance Tourism or other mathematically associated degree. • Excellent knowledge of Office, Revenue Management Software, reservations systems. • Highly refined Analytical skills and interpretation of data for strategic decision making. • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Excellent time management and project management skills. • Ability to achieve defined objectives with minimal supervision. • Attention to detail, proactive and good organization. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience and skills desired

Experience: • 2 years industry experience. • 2 Years’ experience preferred with excel, Power bi, Reservations systems and related data management systems. • Requires understanding and analysis of financial statements. • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations. • Ability to manage group and interpersonal conflict situations effectively.
