The F&B (Food & Beverage) Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of food and beverage operations for Secrets Saint Lucia. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the F&B department, maintaining high standards of service, managing colleagues, and ensuring top tier guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Supervise all food and beverage operations within the establishment, including dining areas, bars, room service, and catering services. Ensure that the service runs smoothly, efficiently, and at high standards. Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage the F&B team (including servers, bartenders, and other staff). Provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure excellent service standards are met. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by monitoring the guest experience, resolving complaints, and ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded. Inventory and Ordering: Manage inventory, order supplies (food, beverages, and other materials), and ensure that the stock is always at optimal levels to meet demand without excessive overstock. Budgeting and Cost Control: Help in managing budgets, track expenses, and ensure that food and beverage costs are controlled. Work with the F&B Director or management to implement strategies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase profitability. Menu and Special Promotions: Work closely with chefs and other departments to develop and update menus, introduce special promotions, and suggest new food and beverage items that align with trends and customer preferences. Compliance: Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with health and safety regulations, alcohol licensing laws, and hygiene standards. Event Coordination: Oversee F&B operations for special events, banquets, conferences, or private functions. This includes managing the setup, coordination, and staff involved in events. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of food and beverages being served, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and service. Address any issues with quality and ensure that standards are upheld. Reporting: Regularly report to higher management (e.g., F&B Director or General Manager) regarding performance, sales, customer feedback, and operational challenges.
